eQuaL 2.0 - e-Qualification for efficient Logistics Processes

Knowledge about logistics processes has to make its way into companies and in particular it must reach the operational staff. Current training programs in companies do not often meet the changing requirements caused by technological innovations and dynamic conditions. Conventional training programs for specialized staff in industrial and commercial segments are often just sporadic and general.

Objective of the Project

Within the scope of this project the in-company vocational training for company logistics is being adapted to the volatile and dynamic conditions in companies and will become more dynamic. Moreover, the training programs are designed to be more effective using innovative didactic concepts. Instead of the conventional situation where a lecturer instructs a class, a learner-centered format with a constructivist approach is used. In order to achieve that, continuing education in logistics is closely connected to the technical possibilities provided by simulations. The experiments the participants carry out mean that the employees immediately feel the effects of change in the processes they work with, which, in turn, simplifies implementation.

Specific Innovations

This results in a comprehensive system that is didactically, conceptually, organizationally and technically innovative which can also be adapted specifically to a particular company. This aims to ensure that knowledge in vocational education is not only imparted, but is generated through cooperation. Employees can actively check optimization approaches and are sensitized to problems and influencing factors in logistic systems. To achieve this, real existing logistics systems and their processes are illustrated in models in order to make it possible for the learners to experiment with them in a user-friendly and easy-to-use way.
